Test drive: 1972 Fiat 500

1972 Fiat 500
The 2012 Fiat 500 is already making a splash in the States, but most Americanse don't know about the 500's predecessor -- the Italian "people's car" that was as popular in Europe as the original VW Beetle was here in the North America. Thanks to Alfredo's Foreign Cars in Larchmont, New York, I got a chance to experience the original 500, in all its twenty-three-horsepower glory. Find out what it's like to drive this piece of automotive history in my 1972 Fiat 500 review. -- Aaron Gold

2012 Mazda3 review

2012 Mazda3 hatchback
Mazda first introduced the Mazda3 back in 2004 to rave reviews, but I was a bit slower than most to warm to it. All that changed in 2010, when Mazda introduced an all-new version that was part sports car and part luxury sedan. I was smitten.
For 2012, Mazda has given my favorite Three a makeover -- subtle styling changes outside, less subtle changes inside, improved suspension, and a new (optional) 40 MPG engine called the SkyActiv-G. Me, I'm feeling shades of 2004. Yes, it's still great... but. Find out about the "but" in my 2012 Mazda3 review. -- Aaron Gold
